On January 6, 2017, a New Jersey resident filed a personal injury complaint in the Middlesex County Circuit Court, Docket #MID L 000140-17, alleging multiple counts of negligence. The suit stated the defendants failed to properly maintain an elevator shaft located inside an under-construction building, resulting in the plaintiff’s fall and subsequent brain damage.
According to a December 3, 2019 article in Law.com, the $3 Million settlement was reached between the plaintiff and the three (3) defendants in this matter, including the construction company, elevator company, and the plaintiff’s employer for their delay in providing treatment.
