At Advocate Capital, Inc., we not only strive to provide the best service to our clients, but we also strive to do our best for the environment. In order to do this, our team works with an all paperless system and has been doing so since 2010. It has eliminated the need to mail invoices to clients and saved about 15,000 sheets of paper annually. However, even beyond the benefits of becoming 100% paperless, we knew there were more powerful ways to do our part for the environment.
Advocate Capital created The Green Initiative to encourage better, more environmentally-friendly practices within our company such as reducing excess packaging and waste, regulating electrical usage, and recycling aluminum cans. The Green Initiative also extends to our clients. With each new client that comes on board, Advocate Capital plants 10 trees in the law firm’s honor through the Arbor Day Foundation. These trees are planted in either the Tahoe National Forest in California or the Chippewa National Forest in northern Minnesota. As of today, our donations have produced a total tree count of 5,455!
Recently, the Arbor Day Foundation fulfilled its tree commitment to the Tahoe National Forest. Through our support and others around the country, the organization planted more than 700,000 trees in the forest, trees that will go toward providing wood, habitat, clean air, and drinking water for millions of us. After reaching such a milestone, the Arbor Day Foundation is now in search of another national forest on the West Coast in need of replanting, and we are excited to help that forest grow as well!
