Accounting & Operations hosted the May employee appreciation event on May 5th. Of course, the team chose Cinco de Mayo as the theme!
Bea Solorzano, administrative assistant, presented ideas to the team who sprang into action creating a fun, cultural event that included mini donkey piñata decorations. Billie Hardison, Training Specialist, and Bea created a Spanish word scramble and guess the number of jelly beans in a jar. Lisa, Debbie, Shirley, Terrance and Claire decorated the training room and supervised pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey. Moe’s Southwest Grill catered the fajita bar.
Employees completed the Spanish word scrambler by matching the Spanish word to a corresponding picture! Iris Garrett, Marketing Coordinator, won the Visa gift card by matching eighteen of twenty words (she put her six years of Spanish classes to good use)! Congratulations, Iris, on the impressive win!
Employees guessed the number of jelly beans in a jar. Stephanie Brake, Credit Analyst, guessed 652 jelly beans in the jar of 721. Stephanie won the jar of jelly beans and a Visa gift card. Great job Stephanie!
Employees participating in pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey, twirled three times and placed the tail on the donkey. Terrance Winchester, accountant, won the game with nearly a perfect placement. Way to go Terrance and enjoy the Visa gift card.
Congratulations to the winners! Another great Employee Appreciation event on the books!!
