Award-winning actress and comedian Betty White died at 99 only two weeks before her 100th birthday.
According to the New York Post, Betty White was “a pioneering animal rights activist devoted to saving endangered species” during her life.
According to ABC News, the “Betty White Challenge” is an online event gaining momentum amongst her fans to celebrate what would’ve been her 100th birthday. The challenge encourages people to donate $5 or more to local animal rescues or shelters in Betty White’s name.
Our Advocate Cares team understands the importance of animal rescues and shelters and wanted to take action. Our team decided they wanted to participate in the “Betty White Challenge” and donate to the Critter Cavalry Rescue.
The Critter Cavalry Rescue is a non-profit organization that volunteers run. The organization focuses on rescuing homeless dogs and cats from high-kill shelters in Tennessee. Volunteers help foster these animals and work to find them forever homes.
Our team is thankful for organizations like Critter Cavalry Rescue who are saving the lives of animals, providing temporary, and working to place them in forever homes.
