Because of the pandemic, many of us will celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday differently this year. Many families directly impacted by the pandemic may be unable to have dinner on Thanksgiving Day.
Advocate Capital employees now work from home, so we donated our usual employee Thanksgiving dinner funds to three non-profit agencies that will provide meals to folks in need.
No Kid Hungry is a nonprofit organization that works to ensure children do not go hungry. They work to provide healthy meals, educate guardians on the importance of healthy food, and advocate for change on the behalf of hungry children. During the pandemic, they are providing food and resources for guardians to know where they can obtain food for their children.
Nashville Rescue Mission is an organization that works to feed and house those impacted by homelessness. They have men’s and women’s missions to help those in need receive food.
Luke 14:12 is a nonprofit soup kitchen providing free meals to the hungry, homeless, and working poor of Nashville. They are the longest working soup kitchen in Nashville and have provided over 37,000 meals since 1983. Their staff cooking meals are those who have experienced chronic homelessness.
Advocate Capital and all our employees send a grateful thank you and the warmest wish for a safe holiday for all of our clients and their employees.
