Congratulations to Christopher Banys and his team at Banys, P.C. on securing this $5.4 million settlement on behalf of over 1,800 technology workers in a class action against a major Silicon Valley employer.
The plaintiffs, all high-income earning employees, were denied vacation benefits by their employer. Although the benefits were earned through years of service, the employer stated the benefits as “sabbatical” and refused to pay. After seven years, an appeal to the Sixth District Court of Appeals and an expansion of the lawsuit to include two sub classes of employees, Banys, P.C. and the team of plaintiff lawyers were granted final approval following a comprehensive review and notification process.
Christopher Banys stated:
I am proud to have helped these California professionals recover the back pay they earned. When a major employer cuts corners to avoid paying its employees, the whole community suffers. Banys, P.C. will always see the fight through, to make sure these companies face justice.
Advocate Capital, Inc. is proud to partner with law firms like Banys, P.C. who fight for employee rights across the nation.
