People around the world celebrate Earth Month during the month of April. This month is dedicated to appreciating our planet's beauty and recognizing the urgent need to preserve and protect it for future generations. Two significant dates within April stand out to us: Earth Day and Arbor Day. These occasions remind us of our responsibility to be stewards of the Earth.
To celebrate Earth Day and Arbor Day, our team donated 4,094 trees in April to the Arbor Day Foundation in honor of our clients. Throughout the year, every time we add a new client, we donate trees to the Arbor Day Foundation in that client's honor. We've donated 12,059 trees in total over the years.
Earth Day: Honoring Our Planet's Magnificence
Earth Day, celebrated annually on April 22nd, began in 1970 when Senator Gaylord Nelson and others grew concerned about environmental deterioration and how it can affect the planet and our health. Senator Nelson recruited activist Denis Hayes to help get students involved in Earth Day and the environmental movement. Earth Day was created to raise awareness that our actions were harming the planet and as a call to action to address issues like pollution, deforestation, and biodiversity loss. Over the years, Earth Day has grown into a global event, bringing together millions of people to support environmental protection and sustainability.
Each Earth Day encourages individuals, communities, and organizations to engage in meaningful actions. Earth Day is a powerful reminder that when multiplied, small actions can make a significant impact.

Arbor Day: Celebrating Trees, Nature's Silent Guardians
Arbor Day, celebrated on various dates worldwide depending on the best tree planting time for the area (often the last Friday in April), is dedicated to planting trees. Arbor Day was created by Nebraska Territory Secretary J. Sterling Morton in 1872 to encourage individuals and communities to plant and care for trees. Trees play a crucial role in combating climate change, providing habitat for wildlife, improving air quality, and enhancing the beauty of our surroundings. On Arbor Day, people gather to plant trees in parks, schools, neighborhoods, and other green spaces. Festivities also often include educational activities about trees.

Embrace a Culture of Sustainability
Earth Month, Earth Day, Arbor Day, and other environmental awareness days in April call us to work on being more sustainable in our daily lives and advocate for change on a larger scale. As Earth Month draws to a close, let's continue to care for our planet throughout the year.
