Advocate Capital, Inc.'s Accounting Team strives for service and quality excellence for our amazing law firm clients. Quality is a team effort, and in 2022 and again in 2023, we achieved a 99.1% accuracy rate! Our checks and balances for manual work include double and triple sets of eyes throughout the transaction processing.
Like most sports, we, too, have the last line of defense, the Quality Checking role. This is the one individual checking it all like Santa – making a list and checking it twice to ensure we are not naughty but nice!
Checking others' work can be tough, yet everyone on the Accounting Team knows our customers deserve white-gloved service and zero errors.
Lisa Larkin serves as our Senior Accounting Specialist. Lisa rejoined Advocate Capital in July 2020 after two years working in the family business. Initially, Lisa started in February of 2014. Lisa exemplifies the Discipline, Partnership, and Balance core values.
Discipline:
Some of our loan advances include hundreds of cases, and it takes discipline and patience to ensure the system consists of every case and amount provided by the client.
Partnership:
Lisa gracefully shares what errors she finds with other team members and asks that the work be corrected.
Lisa offered to take over finding potential client duplicates, removing clerical work from the processing team, and a few more tasks.
Balance:
Lisa often volunteers to serve people experiencing homelessness. She cooks for them and has a true giving heart.
