Shirley joined Advocate Capital nearly 9 years ago as bookkeeper. Now, she is the Controller II for the organization, and she oversees the day-to-day operations of Accounting, where accuracy and customer service are paramount.
Shirley demonstrates loyalty to the Company, management and to her team, and is the Accounting cheerleader. On the last day of the month, after auditing the finance charge invoices, Shirley always leads the team in a happy dance – celebrating a job well done!
Shirley is known to be a positive force in other departments, too. Shirley makes team members feel special. (Also, she takes the time to refill her candy bowl each week, which is always a welcome sight in the office!)
The backbone of Advocate Capital is distinctive service – delivering a ‘Wow’ experience by providing helpful, humble service both to our clients and to each other. Shirley is the spirit leader for the team, and keeps their spirits high, and that is important when working with clients and employees.
