Each year on May 1st, we celebrate Law Day, a national observance dedicated to justice, equality, and the rule of law. In 1957, American Bar Association president Charles S. Rhyne thought we should have a designated day to celebrate our legal system. Law Day was established by President Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1958 and codified by Congress in 1961. The day recognizes the foundational role the legal system plays in our democracy and the tireless work of legal professionals who work to protect it.
The 2025 Law Day Theme
This year’s Law Day theme is “The Constitution's Promise: Out of Many, One.”
The American Bar Association describes the theme as follows, "The Constitution enshrines our collective responsibility to one another, and the 2025 Law Day theme urges us to take pride in a Constitution that bridges our differences to bring us together as a united nation. Our civic lives tie us together as one “We,” whether through legislative efforts that serve the common good, through military service, or by working together, every day, to fulfill the promise of E pluribus Unum, or “Out of many, one.”
Empowering Trial Lawyers to Do More
At Advocate Capital, we’re proud to support the Seventh Amendment of the Constitution and the vital work of plaintiff attorneys across the country. Whether advocating for victims of injustice, fighting for consumer rights, or challenging corporate misconduct, trial attorneys are essential defenders of democratic values. Your work ensures that all people, regardless of their means, have access to the courts and a fair shot at justice. As a law firm, it’s a great time to share stories of justice served and recognize your team’s dedication.
Advocate Capital Celebrates You
We honor the attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants, and office staff who work hard every day to make our justice system function. Your work has real impact—on individuals, families, and society at large. Thank you for being a voice of democracy and for standing up for what’s right.
