How do law firms decide what videos to produce? Julie Lorson gives tips on what law firms should consider when planning their video content in an article for LexBlog.
Target Audience
According to Lorson, the content that is relevant and helpful to your current clients is different from the content that your prospective clients may find beneficial. Lorson says that your prospective clients may find a general about video helpful while your current clients may like more instructive videos on what to expect while working with you and how to navigate the legal process.
Utilize Google
Lorson suggests that law firms can use Google Search Console and Google's related searches to find out what their audience is searching that they could turn into video content. You can search for your firm name or other keywords and questions your audience may be searching for and then scroll down to the bottom to look at the related searches.
Lorson says, "These related searches are generated based on Google’s search algorithm and are based on other terms that have search volume on Google. Since these terms get search volume, creating video content to match these queries can increase traffic to the website."
