The Law Offices of Phillip H. Miller here in Advocate Capital’s hometown of Nashville, Tennessee is offering scholarships to high school juniors and seniors. The five $500 scholarships maybe used for community and college school related expenses.
Four of the five scholarships are a written entry, up to 500 words, on the topic “Freedom of Speech Makes America Great.” A fifth scholarship is available for a pictorial essay of up to seven images of the same theme. Attorney Miller shared:
We believe that education and free speech are important aspects of our democracy and make America great. We want to support young people who are in their final year of high school and in their hearts understand the significance of freedom of speech. We welcome all viewpoints; there is no ‘correct’ answer or approach that we want.
The students must be enrolled in a public or private high school in Davidson, Williamson, Rutherford, Wilson, Sumner, Robertson or Cheatham counties. The submission deadline is May 1, 2016. For further information and submission entry click here.
