Because of your expertise, you are asked to speak at an event or to an organization. You have to prepare your talk, do some research, create slides, rehearse, attend the event, and when you’re done, it’s over – right? You can actually maximize the value of your prep time and expand its marketing impact with a few simple steps from Attorney at Work.
- Write and publish an article. Now that you have research, visuals, and have opened it up to an audience for questions, you can take the material and turn it into a published article.
- Give the speech again. Save your notes, research, and materials to give the speech at another event or to another organization. You can reach out to organizations similar to the one you previously spoke to to see if they’d like you to speak at an event.
- Create a video, podcast, or blog. Depending on the type of speaking engagement you are doing, it can likely be repurposed into some type of media content. A blog, video, or podcast episode can help you share the content with those who were not at the event.
Any time you present, speak, interview, or participate in any type of speaking engagement, you can find a way to repurpose the content or utilize the materials. For more tips, check out the Attorney at Work article with more tips here.
