I recently discovered a great feature in Outlook that will help me keep my work life and home life organized!
Did you know you can add a School Calendar to Outlook? You must log into Outlook 365 online or Office.com. Select Outlook. Go to Calendars. Select Add Calendar.
Here you can add personal calendars or edit calendars. If you look towards the bottom of the list, you will see Schools. Click it and enter your zip code. This will bring up all the schools in the area. Click the school.
This feature is excellent for those who are enrolled in school and working full time. It is also helpful for working parents who need to keep up with their kids’ school calendars to ensure they don’t miss important dates—no more asking off at the last minute to make your child’s Parent-Teacher conference!
You will also notice other calendars in the list: Holidays, Sports, etc. Feel free to look around at these and see if they need to fit into your schedule, as well.
We love feedback from our customers and implement suggestions often. What shortcut do you use the most? If you have a question or idea for a Microsoft Windows or Excel tip that you would like to see, let me know, and I might write about it!
