Our friends, Public Justice, recently launched a podcast called, JusticePod. The podcast will share information to consumers and attorneys on courts, legislatures, regulatory agencies, and corporate America developments.
JusticePod highlights the importance of our right to a jury trial, consumer rights, and the work Public Justice does to keep all of us safe. JusticePod's first episode discusses the Hardeman v. Monsanto Roundup Litigation and Appeal.
In their first episode, they discuss the case they tried on behalf of their plaintiff Edwin Hardeman who developed non-Hodgkin's lymphoma after decades of exposure to Roundup. The attorneys share how they filed the case at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic and the appeal process. The jury awarded the plaintiff, Edwin Hardeman, $5.3 million in compensatory damages and $75 million in punitive damages. During the appeals process, the plaintiff's punitive damages were reduced to $25 million, for a total of $30.3 million.
