Did you know that nearly 40% of all traffic deaths in Texas involve a drunk driver? This is an issue that impacts our own community and an issue that we can do something about. That’s why Rasansky Law Firm is proud to serve as this year’s presenting sponsor of the Dallas Walk Like MADD event scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 19th at the Main Street Garden Park in Dallas, Texas.
Personal injury attorney Jeff Rasansky sees every day the devastating effects of accidents involving drunk drivers, and while his firm’s expertise is helping victims of catastrophic accidents recover financially after a personal injury, he also understands that monetary compensation will never fully make up for the debilitating and life changing injuries that many accident victims face.
Rasansky Law Firm’s sponsorship of the 2015 Dallas Walk Like MADD event demonstrates their commitment to support MADD North Texas in its mission to eliminate drunk driving throughout the state of Texas.
Dallas Walk Like MADD 5K
The Walk Like MADD event takes place in 60 different cities across the U.S. Funds raised by Mothers Against Drunk Driving as part of these events are used to provide support and resources (free of charge) to victims of drunk driving accidents.
Additionally, these funds help MADD continue to fight for legislative changes aimed at further reducing the number of drunk drivers on our roadways. For example, through the help of MADD, Texas recently passed a law requiring the installation of ignition interlock devices in vehicles of 1st-time DWI offenders. This new law just went into effect on September 1st, 2015.
The Walk Like MADD 5K event is a fun way for members of the community to come together to show support for victims of drunk driving accidents, and to help continue building awareness about the harsh consequences of drunk driving.
At Advocate Capital, Inc., we’re proud to support the efforts of trial lawyers like Jeff Rasansky, who work to make a lasting impact in the lives of injured victims every day.
There’s still time to lace up your shoes and join the walk. Click here to learn how you too can participate!
Happy Trails!
