"When you look into the eyes of an animal you've rescued, you can't help but fall in love." Paul Shaffer.
I remember when I first saw my puppy. I fell in love at first sight and couldn't wait to take her home. Not all animals find their forever home so quickly. Some end up in shelters waiting for their person. In some cases, their person never comes. Enter Pawmetto Lifeline. They are a 501(c)3 charity founded in 1999 as Project Pet. They are the only no-kill shelter in the Midlands of South Carolina.
Rikard & Protopapas, LLC strongly supports Pawmetto Lifeline's efforts to "give homeless pets a new leash on life." Allyson Rikard, Attorney and CFO, was elected to serve on Pawmetto Lifeline's Board and recently led the firm's most recent donation drive for the charity.
Allyson introduced Advocate Capital, Inc. to Pawmetto Lifeline and invited us to participate in their 16th annual Fur Ball Moonlight Gala, which we gladly accepted. Pawmetto Lifeline has saved "more than 15,000 companion pets from euthanasia" through its "adoption pet retention, rescue partnerships, and medical services" programs.
