Attorney Samuel Nordean of Nordean Law, took on a case against a ridesharing company's auto insurance on behalf of his client. Attorney Nordean was able to obtain $1 million for his client despite being forced into arbitration.
The plaintiff was significantly injured and in terrible pain after the accident. The plaintiff had injuries to her cervical and lumbar spines that required epidural injections. The plaintiff's doctor recommended surgery, but she decided to wait. She also lost consciousness during the accident. The doctor diagnosed her with a mild traumatic brain injury, meaning she would continue to have headaches, memory loss, and post-concussion syndrome.
The insurance company tried to claim the plaintiff was not injured and was lying about her pain.
Attorney Nordean spent three years on this case despite the company bullying him and his client. Mr. Nordean spent countless hours and was able to go toe-to-toe with the defense team by hiring experts to prove his client's injuries.
Finally, after three years, the arbitrator awarded Attorney Nordean's client the whole policy of $1 million.
"This insurance company thought they could bully my client and get away with it," said Mr. Nordean. "Advocate Capital gave us the funding and support that we needed to take this case the distance. We were able to retain the best experts to help us tell our client's story. My client feels vindicated, and that's all that matters."
We at Advocate Capital, Inc. are thankful for attorneys like our friends and clients at Nordean Law who hold companies accountable and seek justice for their clients.
