This very simple yet progressive community outreach program by Sloan, Bagley, Hatcher & Perry Law Firm has earned them the 2013 Ragan’s PR Daily Corporate Social Responsibility Award for Best Public Health/Safety Initiative. Read the full press release here.
The “Heads in Helmets” organization is dedicated to preventing head injuries to children. The Sloan Firm created a board of directors passionate about child safety and also aligned 18 pediatricians to provide coupons and certificates for kids to get helmets at the firm’s Longview office. The firm purchased 2,500 safety helmets and printed pamphlets with specific safety information about preventing traumatic brain injury in children. Also, the firm trained its employees and volunteers to custom-fit the bicycle helmets for children at the firm’s offices or at special events during the summer of 2013.
