Our Advocate Cares team participated in our first virtual active minutes competition! For the competition, we worked to get active minutes each day! Our team could run, walk, practice yoga, go for a bike ride, meditate or participate in any activity that helps us take care of our mind and body.
We worked together to raise money for the International Rescue Committee. The nonprofit organization works to provide resources for those who are impacted by natural or political disasters. The organization in the last year has given access to health services to over 30 million people, helped over 5,000 refugees become U.S. citizens, and over 30,000 people received legal counseling.
Our team was impressed by all of the amazing things they can do to help people worldwide. Advocate Cares worked hard to get as many minutes as we could so we could help the organization continue helping those in need. We ended our week by completing 10,986 active minutes!
We are grateful for the opportunity to raise money for the International Rescue Committee. Organizations like the International Rescue Committee make a massive difference in our communities worldwide.
