Your law firm's website is your first impression on potential clients, so you, of course, want to put your best foot forward. One of the most important pages on your website is your attorney about me page. People hire people so you want prospective clients to get a feel for who you are and how you can help them.
Annette Choti provided some helpful tips for writing a quality About Me page in an article for Attorney at Work.
One way you can improve your About Me page bio is to be clear and concise. You want prospective clients to get a quick idea of who you are, professionally and personally, and what you've accomplished without being too wordy. Subheadings can be a great way to break up content and make it easier to digest.
Another way you can produce a high-quality bio page is to include a mix of different media. A photo is a must and a short video can be a great way to give prospective clients an idea of who you are. The text of the page will always be important even if you have a video that provides similar information. Choti explains that this is because some people may not want to watch a video or they may be using a device that won't load it properly.
Be sure to include a call-to-action on your bio page so website visitors know how to contact you. For more attorney About Me do's and don'ts, click here to read Choti's article for Attorney at Work.
