We are currently in the midst of the fourth quarter of the year. It's time to close out the year with a bang and start preparing for 2023. Sally J. Schmidt provided some Q4 law firm marketing tips in a recent article for Attorney at Work.
If you'd like to show your appreciation to clients, colleagues, and referral sources by sending holiday cards or gifts, now is the time to start planning. Schmidt suggests sitting down to decide who will get a handwritten card or a gift. Create a timeline of when the cards and gifts should be purchased, signed, wrapped, and mailed or hand-delivered so you are not rushing at the end of the year to get it all done and no one is forgotten.
Q4 is also the time to work on 2022 annual reports and 2023 goals and plans. Schmidt states, "If you have time, do it strategically, identifying your goals, objectives, strategies and activities. If you don’t, you can still make your efforts more productive by establishing some objectives for next year...and outlining some specific activities for the first quarter..."
